An Appeal to Our Arab Neighbors

A flyer published in Arabic during the Arab riots of December 1947. The Etzel warned the Arabs that if their attacks on Jewish civilians continued it would take vengeance. Now it has, with an offensive against rioters in several different cities that showed the Arabs the strength of the Jewish soldier. Now the Etzel once again calls on the Arab rioters to stop attacking Jews. Neither side is served by the violence; only the British oppressors stand to gain. The Arabs should reject the British and their anti-Jewish incitement and resume neighborly relations with the Jews. If the attacks do not stop, the Etzel will strengthen its counteroffensive. So for their own sakes as well as the sake of the Jews, the attacks must stop.

The Command of the Hour – the Unification of Forces

A flyer the Etzel put out while the post-partition vote violence between Arabs and Jews was raging. The British partition plot has brought this violence upon Eretz Israel, and the Mufti threatens to annihilate the Jews. The Jewish Agency contributed to the violence by agreeing to the partition plan. The Etzel stands as a wall against aggression and will extend its hand even to those Jews who persecuted it. The partition plan will not obligate the Jewish people, but they will still be forced to fight to secure their borders. The Jews will unite and liberate the homeland.

Response to the Partition Plan of the United Nations: The Sanctity of the Integrity of the Homeland

A broadcast after the UN vote to partition Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab state. This decision comes after the British had already split most of Eretz Israel off to become Transjordan. Now there will be two Arab states in Eretz Israel and one tiny Jewish state that is mostly desert. This will keep the Jewish refugees from being able to return to Zion. The Jewish Agency has shamefully given this plan their approval. But the partition is illegal and immoral and shall not bind the Jewish people. The Jewish people will reclaim its entire ancestral homeland with Jerusalem as its capital.

Conversation Between the Charirman of the UNSCOP and Menachem Begin

A secret meeting between representatives of UNSCOP and Begin in August, 1947. They discuss what the Irgun is, its political philosophy, and its responses to various proposed compromises. Begin is adamant that the Jews have the right to control all the land and must do so. The Jewish refugees must be repatriated in Palestine. The British are the problem, both in direct illegal actions like military courts and in stirring up Arab opinion against the Jews.

We Will Prevent War Between Jews and Arabs

A broadcast to the Arab population of Eretz Israel. The Jewish revolt has made the British occupation a laughingstock to the rest of the world. But the British refuse to leave, and so it is trying to strengthen the hatred between the Arab and Jewish populations. The Etzel calls on its Arab neighbors not to believe the British anti-Jewish propaganda, and for them to not engage in any attacks on Jews. The Etzel calls on the Arabs to join in the struggle against the British.
